Werdegang
Saaya Suzuki (鈴木 沙彩, Suzuki Saaya; June 22, 1995, in Mitaka, Tokyo – October 8, 2013, in Mitaka, Tokyo) was a Japanese actress. She began her career while still in elementary school and appeared in several film and television productions. Her screen credits include School Urban Legend: Hanako-san of the Toilet, in which she played Eri Mizunuma, as well as Cold Room and Asami Mitsuhiko Series #44. In addition to her acting activities, Suzuki studied in an English-language academic program and participated in an overseas study program. She was also a relative of renowned screenwriter Sō Kuramoto (倉本聰), coming from a family with ties to the arts. She died at the age of 18 in the widely publicized Mitaka Stalker Murder Case, a crime that drew significant attention across Japan and contributed to public debate on stalking, victim protection, and the non-consensual distribution of private images.
