**Pramod Shetty** (born 31 October 1983) is an acclaimed Indian actor and producer who primarily works in Kannada cinema. Known for his imposing screen presence and versatility, he has carved a niche for himself in the Sandalwood industry through highly impactful character roles and memorable performances. Born in Kundapura in the Udupi district of Karnataka, Shetty discovered his passion for acting early on. He began his career as a dedicated theater artist, joining the Rangasourabha theatre group where he honed his skills in acting, set design, and stage direction. He later collaborated on international theatrical productions (such as *Zappadockel and Wok* and *Robinson and Crusoe*) produced by the prestigious Ranga Shankara. Shetty made his feature film debut with the 2010 film *Jugaari*. However, his major cinematic breakthrough came when he gained widespread recognition for his performances in the critically acclaimed neo-noir crime drama *Ulidavaru Kandanthe* (2014) and the blockbuster college comedy *Kirik Party* (2016). Since then, he has become a highly sought-after character actor, delivering standout performances in major films such as *Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shaale, Kasaragodu, Koduge: Ramanna Rai* (2018), *Bell Bottom* (2019), and the fantasy adventure *Avane Srimannarayana* (2019). He achieved pan-Indian fame for his powerful portrayal of Sudhakar in Rishab Shetty's massive 2022 blockbuster *Kantara*. He subsequently took on prominent roles in films like the comedy *Laughing Buddha* (2024). Beyond acting, Shetty is actively involved in film production. He has served as an executive producer and line producer for several hit films, including *Kirik Party*, *Sarkari Hi. Pra. Shaale, Kasaragodu*, *Bell Bottom*, and *Katha Sangama*.
