Eden Alene

Eden Alene (עדן אלנה), born May 7, 2000, in Jerusalem, is an Israeli singer of Ethiopian-Jewish descent. She first rose to fame by winning the third season of The X Factor Israel in 2018. In 2020 she won the seventh season of HaKokhav HaBa (Rising Star) and was selected to represent Israel at the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 with the song “Feker Libi.” After that contest was cancelled due to COVID-19, she was chosen again to represent Israel in Eurovision 2021 with the song “Set Me Free,” finishing in 17th place. During the contest she set a record for the highest note in Eurovision history (a B6 whistle note). Alene has an established background in ballet and theatre. In recent years she has largely stepped back from the music industry.
