Asta Kamma August, born on 5 November 1991 in Danderyd (Sweden), is a Swedish-Danish actress. She is the daughter of Danish director Bille August and Swedish actress Pernilla August, and the sister of actress Alba August. Trained in theatre in Denmark, she worked there for about ten years before becoming known to Swedish audiences in Bränn alla mina brev (Burn All My Letters, 2022) and then in the series Händelser vid vatten (Blackwater, 2023). She plays the lead role in the film Hypnosen (The Hypnosis, 2023), which earned her a Guldbagge nomination for Best Actress. The same year, she appeared in Kalak, for which she received Robert and Bodil Award nominations in Denmark in 2025. In 2024, she appeared in the miniseries Families Like Ours by Thomas Vinterberg.
